How To Market a Blog?

Need blog marketing???

Marketing your blog is a bigger challenge than writing a blog itself. You get ideas…The writing capabilities that you have helped you to create marvelous blogs, fine…but the readers? Where are they and how will you make the whole world come to have a look at your blog? Naturally, we are talking about the marketing i.e. Marketing Your Blog.

How To Market A blogThe marketing of your Blog is essential. It is essential for both categories of writers.

One category is the hobbyists – those who write for the sheer passion and want their creations to float around the web world and getting admired is really all that they seek. These people need to market to get a larger and larger response, and feel satisfied if they have a wide readership base. And this is why they need the marketing of the blog.

The second category of bloggers is of those who wants to generate income from it. They need money in return, directly or indirectly, as the people read their blogs, clicks on the advertisements embedded on the blogs and so on. The effort made on the blog to make money implies that they need more and more readers to be hooked onto their blogs, time and again. Marketing of blogs for them is must.

How To Market Your Blog

Marketing of blogs has many essentials attached to it. The simplest thing one I would suggest is to follow a successful blog and study it carefully. Observe as to what methods look apparent on it in line with marketing tactics.

Your eye will soon catch that there are plenty of items spread here or there, other than the text – that is the body of blog.

You will see several links given on their blog or alternately several links that would bring the reader to their blog; these would have social networking links, the layout of their blog page would look somewhat special and attractive, tempting information would be filling the page and so many other things.

If it is a successful blog, which means it has a good market – market of readers, that is where the income rolls in.

But also remember, there are many other things which are necessary for marketing a successful blog. Let us see what these general principles for marketing of blogs are:

Take care of perfect SEO: The keywords business is meant for driving the readers into your blogs from search engine results. Ensure that the Blog page has taken care of SEO properly and successfully. Every article or blog written must have some wonderful keywords that work as strings for making your blog a sure landing place. Employ technical assistance if you want to… to truly help you achieve this every time you write.

Improve the look: Frame your blog in attractive and catchy templates and layouts. You would agree that a nicely written book is always a bestseller, but if it has catchy cover page and printing, it would still sell for that reason.

So when good writing would be in your hand, you must not forget to encapsulate all the stuff into a stylish layout. The page must have good supporting graphics and do adhere to decent fonts and proper font sizes. Do not forget to keep improving the presentation – readers also appreciate minor changes from time to time.

Do integrate social networking: Do you know social networks are the launching pads for many events? They are also the right platform for making anything popular. It catches well and multiplies there.

Have connectivity to and from well known social networking sites. You would have better readership generated and it would reach the threshold anytime for your blog to become famous – very famous.

I-Times, Facebook and Twitter provide you followers and if you are confident that once they land on your blog, you would make them a permanent customer (reader – I mean)- then simply go ahead. This would result in a chained marketing of a blog.

Make the Blog Interactive: Let others be given a place to write. Let them add remarks or comments. These work as useful feedback and you get a chance to maintain quality in response to it. Even let them write a blog along with your blog – you may name it as a visitor’s blog; or try and ask some popular blogger to write a blog and publish them on your blog page. It would make your blog popular altogether.

There is no end to always improving!!!

Write well and be an active writer: What is a blog after all? Something related to current happenings, burning topics, timely comment or critic, and so on and so forth.

Blogs may be of many types but the popular ones are some of these kinds mainly. Would you like yourself if you are served with something once in a while or something that is stationary for days and months!

A one time or occasionally written blog may be acceptable – but only when the writer is a renowned celebrity – it is not applicable for each one of us. So make it a point to be an active writer, a good writer. People would love to read your blogs and soon you would steal the show…

So, the purpose of marketing a blog may only be fulfilled if you have taken these multiple points into consideration.

Memorial Day…One Memory Never Forgotten

I’ve been spending the last hour or so reading Memorial Day poems and stories – everything from tributes to fallen soldiers to remembrances of past and current war heroes that served and continue to serve our country proudly.

Memorial DayWords of undying love, gratitude and sorrow. Mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, all sharing tales of their personal heroes.

I came across a poem that brought back a personal memory of my hero…my Dad, who served in the Korean War.

Being the inquisitive little girl that I was, I’d ask my Dad to show me the pictures he had of his time spent in Korea and tell me what it was like; what he ate, where he slept, and even about the bugs and spiders I would imagine there being lots of over there…

But one question I would ask time and time again, never getting an answer too was, “Dad, did you ever kill anybody?”

He’d nonchalantly pull out another picture and continue on talking about the tin cans he ate from or reminisce about his troops like he never even heard me ask…all together avoiding the question.

My Dad passed away this past Christmas and the answer to my question was buried with him.

Sadly, he did say once that one of his buddies was blown up directly in front of him one day walking across a bridge…that was all he said and I could tell not to question him any further.

Now that I’m older, I try to understand how terrifying it must have been for my Dad and the rest of his troops to be on foreign soil fighting not only for their lives, but the lives of their buddies and for all of us here back home.

Below is a poem that depicts the raw emotion of one hero in his own, gut-wrenching words of yet another added element to the war we don’t think about…

I’m almost sure, this reflects the very agonizing reason of why my Dad, my hero never answered my question…

Sgt. Lenihan

Sgt. Lenihan was wounded in action and later received a Purple Heart. He never spoke with his family about the emotions he experienced during war, and they were very surprised to find this poem. Towards the end of Lenihan’s life, he actively sought out his old war buddies and described his time serving as one of the “worst and greatest experiences” of his life.

The DCoE Blog Team thanks the Lenihan family for allowing us to share this poem with our readers. We hope it helps you in your personal healing process, or those with whom you work or love.

I shot a man yesterday
And much to my surprise,
The strangest thing happened to me
I began to cry.

He was so young, so very young
And Fear was in his eyes,
He had left his home in Germany
And came to Holland to die.

And what about his Family
were they not praying for him?
Thank God they couldn’t see their son
And the man that had murdered him.

I knelt beside him
And held his hand–
I begged his forgiveness
Did he understand?

It was the War
And he was the enemy
If I hadn’t shot him
He would have shot me.

I saw he was dying
And I called him “Brother”
But he gasped out one word
And that word was “Mother.”

I shot a man yesterday
And much to surprise
A part of me died with Him
When Death came to close
His eyes.

On this Memorial Day, let us remember what so many brave men and women have given up to keep us free and safe but more importantly, the conditions they endure to ensure us of that.

On this day for many of our American heroes, unimaginable memories surface that are deeply seared into the very core of their hearts, minds and souls.

We see what war does on the outside, but I think we’re unable to fathom what war does on the inside…deep inside.

God, please Bless each and everyone of our heroes, current and past.

My Hero-My Dad-Leamon Waseity served in the Korean War 1950-1952. The greatest Dad ever. Love and miss you…

The Blind, Giving Encouragement to Those Less Fortunate

Hey guys, below is a very touching inspirational piece that will surely give you a lift while at the same time… pull heavily on your heart strings.

This short story is what we all should be doing for others; realizing there are times to forget about our needs and put someone else’s needs first, even if your circumstances are terribly challenging.

Giving EncouragementThis is such a beautiful story…

“Change Your Thinking:”

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.

His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.

Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band – he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, ‘Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.’

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can’t buy.

‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present.’

3 Business Blogging Mistakes and Their Solutions

Research study by shows that companies who are active on their blogs generate 55% more visitors, 434% more indexed pages and 97% more inbound links as compared to companies that do not blog.

Business Blogging MistakesIt is true that many small and medium businesses have taken to blogging as a promotional activity; it does not however mean that they are doing it all right. Below you will find three blogging mistakes often made, knowingly or unknowingly, along with their possible solutions.

Mistake 01: Publishing Too Much Content about Yourself

While it’s good for your blog readers to know about you and your achievements or let’s say, about the company profile, it’s bad if you publish too much content focused only on YOU or the COMPANY like your services, your achievements and why you are the best! If it’s about company news or if the blog is focused on the company products, then company-focused content is accepted.

In other kind of blogs, writing about YOU solely displays a serious lack of thought leadership. If people are visiting your blog with the intention of reading educational content that will help them, they will be seriously disappointed if all they find on the blog is about how great your services and products are and why should the visitors buy them.

If you are planning on creating a blog along the same lines, it’s a very bad idea. What you should frequently share is educational content, excellent and thought-provoking blog posts and new market data and you should rarely share product info (unless it’s a product-based blog ONLY), content about YOU and software documentation.

Solution: Change the way you present the blog. Talk to people who manage excellent blogs and ask them what they did to reach the same position. In any case, make sure you write educational and fact-based blogs.

Mistake 02: Blogging Inconsistently and Ineffectively

The 2010 State of Inbound Marketing Report by shows that companies who effectively publish and promote their blog have 46% success in acquiring customers through their blog-generated content. If you have a blog but do not bother to publish content daily or publish anything at all, the posts are not effective or useful to the reader. Your blog ranking will spiral downwards in few days!

The Inbound Marketing Report says that companies make a grave mistake by not utilizing the power of blogging and hence, they leave prospective customers on the table.

According to the data given in the report, companies that blog multiple times a day have 100% chances of acquiring new consumers from their blog content; companies that blog daily or thrice a week have 90% and 69% chances of success and companies that blog monthly or less than monthly have 38% and 13% chances of success respectively.

Solution: Its simple – make an effort to blog daily or at least four times a week. If you have run out of ideas, ask others like friends, colleagues, friends, online friends to pitch in.

Every person has a different perspective on the same thing so it’s worthwhile to talk to others. Or what you can do is hire ghostwriters or invite other people as guest writers on your blog. You can also ask employees in your company to contribute blogs in a rotational manner and compensate them for their performance!

Mistake 03: Blog Does Not Have a Unified Theme

Your blog will not be able to target a specific market if the content is scattered, disjointed, non-concrete and lacking in a unified theme. With blogs, the cardinal rule is to give your readers something, a reason to make them keep coming back. Why will you do this? Because doing so will someday nurture them into becoming paid customers!

Take for example, Income Insiders. From the start, we had decided that the focus of this blog will be to help small business owners, entrepreneurs and beginners to find ways to break through some of the hang-ups that may throw you off track in finding success.

When you browse our site, you will see all the published content – up-to-date is geared towards the same goal….and if we’d suddenly publish a few posts on unrelated topics like how to barbeque or how to clean your kitchen, this would completely spoil the purpose of Income Insiders…getting my point?

Solution: Think hard about the goals of your blog. What is your intention or purpose or expected result from your blog? Know the pulse of the audience and what you can give to lead them to your blog. Make your blog specific always/

How to Create Your “Vision Statement”

Hi Guys, our topic today is creating a “Vision Statement”…your vision of how you want your life to be; financially, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

What is a “Vision Statement?”

Defines the way an organization or business will look in the future. Vision is a long-term view, sometimes describing how the business would like the world to be in which it operates. For example, a charity working with the poor might have a vision statement which reads “A World without Poverty.”

What Do You Think Your “Vision Statement” Will Look Like?

Ask yourself this question: If nothing would change for you in the next 5 years, would you be okay with that? Where you are now would be where you are 5 years from now…

How to Create Your VisionFor me, I wouldn’t want my circumstances to be the same. I have a lot of improving to do.

But for all of us the word “change” is very difficult… it’s the unknown and simply uncomfortable. That’s a major “hang-up” for many. But to have your circumstances be different in 5 years, changing is exactly what has to be done.

Since being involved with the Internet business world, one question I’ve heard asked so many times is, What Is Your Vision Statement?

I’ve seen this in e-mails, heard this in mastermind groups, in coaching sessions and from those Marketers and Authors who have made it in the “big leagues.”

Mapping out and creating their “Vision Statement” is one thing I’ve discovered very successful people all do.

I personally never really given that question much thought. This is such a simple concept but contains so much power. You want success? Well then, map it out and make it happen.

I was asked to write my “vision statement” for a contest that I had entered with the mentoring program I was enrolled in.

Simply writing on paper how you want your life to be is really an awesome exercise to do for yourself. While I was writing down all my thoughts, I couldn’t believe all that was coming to the surface…things I didn’t even know I wanted to accomplish. It makes you think about what is important to you and you’ll be amazed at what you learn about yourself. Plus, it was actually fun letting your imagination run free for a moment.

Below is a copy of my first “vision statement” for you to view. I have since changed some things – deleted – added and made it more detailed and stronger. Things will change whether you like it or not. So you may as well make positive changes, right?

Don’t let the fear of change hold you back from the important things in your life that need improving or goals you have you think you cannot achieve. You can.

Focus on what’s important and just start writing. Post it somewhere so you can easily read and read it again and again. You don’t have to share it with anyone if you don’t want to.

But by focusing on the things you want to change and the goals you want to accomplish, reviewing this every day, will give you inspiration – determination and build your momentum going forward.

And remember, this is for you. It doesn’t have to be perfect!

“Joni’s First Vision Statement, 2009”

“My vision is to express my open mindedness, determination, strong work ethics and positive attitude by continuing to learn new things that aren’t comfortable. Always being committed to myself to never ever give up my dream and keeping upbeat when things don’t always go my way or as planned.

To be able to have the free time to care for my parents in their last years, contribute financially to my entire family who’s been through hell and back, spread my financial independence to my favorite charities “Eyes for the Blind” and also “Dream Farms, Inc., a local therapeutic and recreational horseback riding program for terminal and chronically ill children.

Within five years I will play a major role in both these programs, both financially and volunteering my services. I envision myself to be a key player.

My newsletter will be very successful, reaching thousands of sick and disabled people, informing them, making them smile and laugh, but most of all, contributing to their overall better quality of life by inspiring them to find their passion and make that passion a reality financially, emotionally, socially, spiritually and physically.

My character “Joe Jobber,” who I’ve placed as the co-founder of my newsletter (and partner in crime) will come out with his own line of products and/or write a set of children or teen books.

I will have a whole series of audio and video products targeted to my niche to help with transforming the sick and disabled to strive for a better quality of life. I will use every ounce of inspiration I have to change the way people think and feel about themselves and find ways to speak to whoever is willing to listen to me.

I will continue my education in copy writing while growing my copy writing business in educating the Internet beginner on how to write their own effective and compelling copy.

I will strive to work on my personal growth. I will stay as healthy as possible, God willing, so my vision can be fulfilled to the best of my ability.

Within five years I will be bringing in a six-figure income to fund my dreams, goals and charities.

I will always remember where my roots are, continually thank those who make an impact in my life and walk with me along my path. I will always stay grateful for everything that has been given to me and count each and every one of my blessings every day.”

Since I wrote this back in 2009, many circumstances have changed. Some better; working with Casper on Income Insiders – writing sales copy for professional’s all over the globe etc. Some not so good; My Dad has passed away – not enough time spent on my newsletter etc.

But all in all, my updated “vision statement” is brighter and stronger than ever…but I’ll keep that one secret for now 🙂

Go ahead, try mapping out your vision statement and see what happens…leave a comment below.

Syndicating Your Blog with RSS Feeds

Earlier referred to as Rich Site Summary, it’s now known as Really Simple Syndication. The RSS feeds are a chance for bloggers to spread and attract fresh content daily.

RSS FeedsThe RSS is a special piece of code embedded with the HTML code of the web page that automatically updates RSS subscribers with fresh content. The feeds are basically a short summary of the blog and thus, it is essential that the short summary offered is interesting to pique the readers’ interest and read the whole story.

For RSS feeds, you need a RSS reader or you can use the Google reader, and there is no limitation as to the number of subscribers you can have for your blog. You can add RSS feeds either on blogs or static websites. Here is a short manual on how to go about them.

If you host your blog on Blogger, log in to your account. Go to the “Layout” section of the chosen blog. (provided you have multiple blogs) Click on the “Add a Page Element” from the top bar and select “Add to Blog” which appears below the “Feed” element, opening the “Configure Feed” dialog box.

Here, in the “Configure Feed” dialog box, you need to copy-paste the RSS link URL from the external blog. You can view the RSS link on the eternal blog generally on the right-hand side. When you click on this link, it generally opens Feedburner address; you select this link and copy it to the clipboard.

Copy-paste this link saved in clipboard into the “Feed URL” box appearing on the “Configure Feed” dialog box and click “Continue.” In the next page, you will be asked to choose the number of feeds you want to display, date format and author name. Make these selections and click “Save.”

Click on the “Preview” button to check if everything is in order and if not, you can use the “Edit” button to make changes.

Most of the WordPress theme hosted blogs have the RSS installed by default. This makes it easier for beginners as they don’t have to read through complex codex.

However, some of the WordPress themes do not have RSS installed, and then you have to install it yourself. What I suggest is you read through the backend WP-Admin interface details provided by WordPress themselves. This codex explains in detail how to add RSS feed on your blog. You can add the RSS button on your themes sidebar or the footer page for display.

The RSS function varies for different themes so you have to do a bit of hit-and-trial method to check which one is working for you. Some of the WordPress themes have RSS buttons as a widget. Check in the Widget section of your dashboard. If you have the RSS widget, simply click “Activate” and all is set!

Static Websites

Static websites are those that do not have fresh content daily. They are not blogs. Unless you can write XML codes manually, you have to have RSS software for static websites. Websites like and offer RSS feed software installation for static sites.

The RSS link you get will be somewhat like and the next time you add articles to your website, the RSS feed will be automatically updated.

Best way to monetize from RSS feeds is to syndicate your blog or website with a large number of feed aggregators. This will not only bring you valuable traffic but also provide you with very good quality and valuable back links that further help to rank your website higher on Google.

Kindle and RSS

In the last two or three years, the Amazon Kindle has made it possible for bloggers to publish your blog on the Kindle store and whenever anyone subscribes to your feed, Amazon shares a revenue percentage with you. Any blogger from anywhere in the world can utilize this tool.

But there is a downside as well – Amazon does not allow the blogger to decide the price of your blog. Amazon decides a monthly subscription fee and the blogger gets a 30% share. This may not seem like a great amount of money but as your content reach widens and subscribers increase, you get to earn more.

You need to create a new Amazon account even if you already have an existing one, fill out the form, add the blog RSS feed and submit. Once Amazon approves the blog, it will be available to Amazon Associates and all Kindle users on Amazon Store.

Syndicating your blog with RSS feeds is another way to make money online. Most bloggers and advertisers publish small ads in a non-intrusive manner and when the RSS subscribers click on them, the blogger earns. Of course, some readers may feel put off seeing the ads but that’s a risk one has to take.

Trials and Tribulations – Moving Forward

Hey guys, Joni here continuing on with what seems to be somewhat a bummer of a story, but I assure you it starts picking up…

Moving ForwardAfter I made the decision to quit working in the outside world, I indulged myself in some much needed rest and soul searching. What now? How can I still be productive without panning off the government? I knew I could file for disability due to my brain aneurysm but didn’t want to go there. Call it being stubborn or not considering myself to be disabled – I didn’t want to go that route as many told me I should. I’m desperately searching for why I’m still here and what my purpose is.

I really dug deep trying to find the answers to all of my questions…

I started researching the Internet on work-at-home jobs; everything from data entry – how to blog – surveys, etc. I bought in to a few inexpensive programs but nothing I’d found tripped my trigger. Most were scams…actually, all the one’s I purchased were scams.

I guess I was looking for something I could sink my teeth into, but had yet to find.

While searching I came across a compelling story of a woman who lost her job, got divorced and had 3 kids that needed to be fed and sheltered. She nearly lost everything…This story touched my heart. She ultimately landed the job as a V.P. of an online business coaching program.

I signed up then and there…

It was difficult. I was bombarded with emails – bonuses and binders stuffed full of information on how to place media. Being technically challenged, it took a lot of hard work and tears to get through all of it.

Somewhere along the way, I was introduced to a top notch Internet marketer – Dan Kuschell who also had a detailed mentoring program.

The program consisted of more manuals but more important, group calls, webinars and one-on-one’s with Dan himself.

The program had a great interactive forum where you felt comfortable asking questions that otherwise you thought were dumb and all the other students gave feedback, words of encouragement and honestly, felt the same way I did. It was an intensive program consisting of every aspect of starting a home based business.

Digesting bits of information at a time and having personal coaching calls really made the difference for me. It was hands on.

And to be totally honest, Dan didn’t pull any punches. He didn’t just tell me some gabbly-gook, no way, he made me work, and work hard. This is what a genuine mentor should do…

All the things that I needed to do completely took me out of my comfort zone. I’d make excuses why I couldn’t do something which he would not allow me to do.

If I told him I didn’t know how to do something or I didn’t have the resources, he’d just say…if you really want to be successful, you’ll find a way. And, he would always end giving me action steps and suggestions to help find a way.

But…at this point, I was working my tail off but I wasn’t making any money…which was the most frustrating part.

I wasn’t getting too much support from my husband, family or friends which left me feeling alone, exhausted and unsure if this is what I was suppose to be doing.

Somehow I knew and felt it WAS what I was suppose to be doing and he was the mentor who would get me there.

Once I made the decision to commit, my circumstances started to change…

I highly recommend anyone to check Dan out. I know he’s started a very inexpensive – basic program teaching online marketing. I paid a couple of thousand to be taught by him and his trainings are worth every penny. Truly, he over delivers on everything…and that’s a fact. And I know…(more on that later)

If it wasn’t for Dan Kuschell, I would not be where I am today. He’s amazing…

And Joni’s saga continues…

Split Testing … Does it Pay?

Today we are going to talk about Split Testing, something that many Internet beginners get “hung-up” on. It’s really not too difficult, but it does take a little bit of knowledge and study to do it correctly.

To get you familiar, here’s a quick summary with examples for you to view. Just make sure you do more research on the Internet when first starting out…

Split testing also known as (A/B testing); splits the traffic between two or more variants of the same web page, measuring whether there is a difference in the effectiveness of that page in achieving a higher CTR. (Click Through Rate) Every time a visitor takes the desired action on a website, such as making a purchase or submitting a form, it is called a conversion.

Whether you’re split testing your website, landing page or a variety of ads, essentially what is happening is the different versions are competing against each other to see which pulls better – gets a better CTR – making you more money by converting better.

Examples of components to test when split testing:

  • Headlines
  • Order Buttons
  • Footers/Headers
  • Colors
  • Icon Buttons such as BBB or Secure
  • Displaying video vs. just an image
  • Clutter vs. condensed
  • Images

Those are just a few, but really, you can test just about any component.

Keep in mind, you want to make small changes and not a bunch at the same time. You want to stick to one element to test-if you make too many changes, how will you know what is working and what isn’t?

Also, you want both pages/ads to be displayed equally-equal amount of impressions.

You should start seeing the results after a few of days depending on the amount of impressions. After testing one component, start testing another until your desired results are met.

Remember Casper – the technical guy that runs behind the scenes here at Income Insiders? He just did some adwords split testing on one of his other sites. He’s allowed me to share with you exactly what he did.

Let me point out on this site, he’s using image ads, which pulls more profit.

By changing a couple of components, he doubled his Adsense income and tripled his clicks.

Casper tested for 2 weeks; changed one ad placement for another and waited a couple of days to see if there was any improvement and then repeated with another ad placement. He started on April 25th and was satisfied with the conversions on May 4th.

Here’s what he did on his Hollywood Gossip Site:

– The main change was moving the ad (300×250) from the right sidebar to the left side.

– Next he moved the footer ad (728×90) to the top of the small left sidebar, changing the size to (160×600)

April 24th: Total clicks as shown are 14 and amount of money is $10.52

May 5th: Total clicks are 40 and $21.18 earned.

May 6th: Total of 41 clicks and $25.59 earned.

Amazing isn’t it? Just making a couple of small changes can mean the difference in the amount of clicks but more importantly, the amount of cash going into your pocket!

Remember, you need a way to track your clicks to see what your results are. Income Insiders will be blogging more on that aspect in the coming days. For now, do your research and get familiar with the idea of testing your pages and ads.
